Come and enjoy our First Friday events here at Advanced Medical Solutions Friday September 5th. We will have free chair massages, free live music (Band "MudSlide"), refreshments as well as an art show.

Local artist’s Brian Jason Taylor’s Auto written cave paintings by the untalented art show will be showing from 6pm to 9:30 pm. Brian's art will be displayed throughout the month of September 2008. When asked about his work Taylor said ”I paint because I am forced to from spiritual experiences throughout my life. I’m not sure when I started creating as a child, it has been that way since I can remember. I paint simply for sanity and peace that is found for me when creating something that will prove that I once walked on the earth. I’m not able to paint covered bridges, fruit and the county theatre over and over. I believe that has all been done before. Rather I deal with products of my spirituality and try to manifest them into an image that connects mind to hand. Then all is left in the final product is an essence in the soul of the painting that proves that I indeed once walked on earth.”

The Daring Dames : A Century of Photographs of Adventurous Women

More than 30 rare, never-before-seen prints depicting American and European women in many eras who have demonstrated curiosity about the larger world and resourcefulness in their ability to navigate in it. These adventurous women have, through their daring, transformed the notion of female identity and the popular perception of acceptable female roles. They have broken through the limitations of social convention to explore and conquer new realms geographic, physical, mental, and metaphoric. Accessible and entertaining, the pictures are also historically important records that depict the range of women's accomplishments as well as creative expressions of fine art photography.

The curators are Donna Henes, spiritual teacher, author and photographer and Daile Kaplan, head of the photographs Department at Swann Auction Galleries in New York City and featured photographs expert on the PBS television program, Antiques Roadshow.
