Doctor Broad was born in Philadelphia in 1956 and spent most of his childhood in nearby Dublin, Pennsylvania. He spent his teen and pre-college years working in electronics part time. His interests that remain presently include bicycling, carpentry, landscaping and stonework.

Dr. Broad graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree (Magana Cum Laude) from Muhlenberg College in 1978. He earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Jefferson Medical College in 1982, a surgery internship thru University of Pennsylvania (Graduate Hospital) in 1983, and completed his Anesthesiology residency in 1985 and earned his Diplomatic Board Certification in anesthesiology and pain management. Since 1985 Dr. Broad has been a partner in Doylestown Anesthesia Associates, Doylestown Pain Relief Center and Doylestown Critical Care to present. He has served as president of these medical groups since 1996 to present. Throughout that time, Dr. Broad has served on many hospital committees and served as chairman of the Department of Anesthesia at Doylestown Hospital.

With a small group of surgeons and anesthesiologists, Dr. Broad opened the Doylestown surgery center in Warrington in 2000. He has been Board Chairman and partner since then.

His interest in integrative medicine led Dr. Broad to become certified and licensed in Acupuncture in 1994. Dr. Broad then opened his first integrative medicine center in Doylestown in 2000, which is now known as Advanced Medical Solutions.

Lee Ann & Todd Broad were married in 1985 and the family grew with Tara in 1987 and Harris in 1990. Through the mutual encouragement between Lee Ann and Todd, they remain committed to all methods of holistic medicine and nutrition, as well as natural and organic environments.
